Capt. Ryan P. Bigley

Ryan was born and raised in Washington State, grew up fishing in area lakes and steams, and is excited to share his vast knowledge of Puget Sound area fishing opportunities. Ryan has experience guiding in Southeast Alaska. He enjoys sharing his knowledge of fishing and the outdoors with others. He is a USCG Licensed captain, and Washington State licensed guide.  

     If you are in search of a local guide service that is committed to clients, and devoted to getting you the fish, then Sound Bite is IT.  We offer trips year around and can accommodate up to six guests of any age per trip. Custom trips for large groups or special occasions are available upon  request. Fishing methods that are most often used include trolling, drift fishing, and pulling plugs. Capt. Doug Saint-Denis



Doug is a full time professional guide.  Doug holds a U.S.C.G. Masters license and is a Washington State licensed guide and fully insured.  Doug also maintains a US Forest Service permit to operate on the Wild & Scenic Skagit River.

Doug operates a 23 1/2 ft. Alumaweld sled and a 17ft. Fishrite drift boat.  Doug uses only the best equipment, such as G-Loomis rods, Okuma spinning and levelwind reels, Vision Hooks and Tackle, Izorline, and Power Pro. 

Doug will work hard to get you into the fish and make sure you have a fun and safe trip.

Capt. Brett Basim


"My Grandpa was a big game hunting guide and outfitter.  As a small boy I would spend lots of time with my Grandpa, hunting and fishing in Eastern Oregon.  The outdoor lifestyle has always been a part of my family and I want to share that with clients.

It is exciting for me to see clients set the hook on a nice fish.  I enjoy spending the extra time checking out the river and figuring out what the fish are doing, whether it is steelhead, salmon or sturgeon.  I believe this allows me to provide a better experience for the angler."

Brett has been a professional sportfishing guide since 1990. Brett holds a US Coast Guard Masters License, TWIC card and is fully licensed and insured for sportfishing charter services in Washington State. Brett has extensive knowledge of Western Washington's premier rivers. 

Brett's boat is a new 23 ½ foot Alumaweld Super Vee Pro sled - room for six anglers and heated on cold days!  Brett also uses the best equipment such as Vision hooks & tackle, Izorline, G-Loomis rods, Plueger spinning reels, and Abu-Garcia levelwind reels.
